ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION--2011 BOBCAT ND OPEN
Pro/Junior Pro-Am – Par 3
The Pro/Junior Pro-Am will start at 6:30 p.m. (shotgun start) on Thursday, August 25, 2011, and will be held on the Par 3 Course of the Fargo Country Club (1st tee is located at NW corner of the FCC clubhouse parking lot). [No entry fee ($0) for professionals or junior amateurs.]
Team Event: There will be nine teams of five players each—three junior-amateurs and two professionals. Thus, there will be 27 juniors who will qualify for the Junior Pro-Am—of which at least nine will be girls (one per team). Juniors, boys and girls, are eligible if they have not reached their 18th birthday by August 25, 2011. In team event, low 3 scores on each hole for team will count.
Pro Individual Event: In addition to the pro-am team event, there is an individual tournament for the professionals—stroke play, total score for the nine holes. Payoff for the professionals will be: 1st $300; 2nd $125; 3rd $50; 4th $25.
QUALIFYING:
JUNIORS: A qualifying tournament for the junior amateurs will be held on August 8, 2011. There is no entry fee for any of the entrants ($0). All juniors (boys and girls) are welcome to enter the qualifying tournament. Twenty-seven juniors will qualify to play in the Junior Pro-Am, of which at least nine will be girls. Some juniors may be exempt from qualifying as determined by committee. Successful qualifiers will be selected by lowest total strokes for the nine holes. In addition, the ND Open Tournament Committee may select up to five (5) juniors in addition to those who qualify in the qualifying tournament. As mentioned, a total of 27 junior amateurs will compete in the Pro-Am.
PROFESSIONALS: All professionals entered in the ND Open are eligible to qualify for the Junior Pro-Am. Professional’s entry fee for the Bobcat ND Open Championship includes the qualifier or the Junior Pro-Am event, itself—there is no additional entry fee. Professionals may qualify by posting a total score for the nine-hole par 3 course on either Wednesday or Thursday, August 24th or 25th. Please register in the pro shop in advance to declare your “qualifying round”, and post your qualifying score immediately after completing play on the par-3 course. Eighteen (18) professionals, based on lowest total score for nine holes, will successfully qualify (no exemptions from qualification).
Weather policy. In the event weather prevents qualifying for tournament to be completed or prevents play of Par 3 event, the event may be rescheduled to the same time on Saturday, and pro qualifiers will be determined by lowest 18-hole scores from Friday’s competitive round (ties broken with score card playoff beginning with Hole No. 1).
